The Ark of Mark is a monthly (approximately) online Christian humor column written by Mark Stuart.
Stuart is a native of Owensboro, Kentucky and a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where he studied electrical engineering, ran cross-country and track, and went on very few dates. He suspects some of these facts are related. During college he refused to acknowledge that he enjoyed courses in literature and writing more than engineering.
However, Stuart has worked happily as an engineer in Lexington, Kentucky since 1992. In 1993 he agreed to a very well-conceived blind date and a year later married Laura, whose faith is a consistent inspiration and challenge to him. They are active members of Immanuel Baptist Church where Stuart was ordained as a Deacon in 1997. The Stuarts have a son and daughter who enjoy sports and princesses respectively.
When he has free time, Stuart enjoys running, watching sports on TV, and eating bratwursts and funnel cakes. He started writing Christian humor in the year 2000 and with the encouragement of friends started The Ark of Mark by email in 2003, and went online in 2005.
